How it works

Three things in every digest

1

Homeowner-led projects first

Permits with no contractor in the city's records, flagged at the top — homeowners who are about to start calling builders like you.

2

Competitor watch

See which rival builders pulled which permits, in which communities, at what project values. Know your market cold.

3

A CSV for your CRM

Permit #, full address, community, project value, applicant, and contractor where listed. Load it into whatever you already use.

Straight talk: "No contractor on file" means no contractor in the City of Calgary's records at the time the permit was issued — it is not a guarantee the homeowner hasn't since hired someone. The value is the filtering, the flagging, and showing up in your inbox twice a week without you digging through city data. All figures on this page come from City of Calgary Open Data. And a heads-up worth money: Calgary's Secondary Suite Amnesty Program ends Dec 31, 2026 for suites built before March 12, 2018 — homeowners are already racing that deadline.

Questions

Before you ask

Where does this data come from?

City of Calgary Open Data, published daily. We filter it down to basement and suite permits, flag the homeowner-led ones, and deliver it in a format you can act on in minutes.

Why not just pull the city data myself?

You can — it's public. Most builders would rather spend $49 than an hour twice a week sorting raw permit records. That's the whole product: the filter and the consistency.

Is this exclusive? How many builders get the same list?

It's a digest, not one-off leads — every subscriber sees the same permits. Your edge is calling first. That's also why founding spots are capped at 10.

What does one job pay versus the subscription?

Typical Calgary basement and suite projects run $30,000–$129,000. A single signed job covers the $49/month founding rate for years.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, in one click from the checkout. No contract, no annual lock-in at the founding price.
